AFTi serves the East Kootenays and Upper Columbia… from Cranbrook to Golden. While AFTi’s new to the area, Dr. Rombach’s lived here for 27 years. Her counseling career began in 1972. From 1989-96, Mary Ann ran the Invermere/Golden Mental Health Offices. Her zeal for the best in therapy led her to create teams of valley professionals to push the envelope.

Fired up with new advances in therapy, and dedicated to staying at the cutting edge, Mary Ann set off to Purdue University in 1996 for doctoral study. Purdue is rated at the top in Marriage and Family Therapy & she was thrilled to be one of six in the world to be selected. She graduated in Dec. 2000.

From 2001-7, Mary Ann’s been securing the health of her beloved partner, Werner; teaching at Nova Southeastern University and Col. Belcher’s MFT Program/Calgary, and building a new home and training center. She’s bringing to AFTi a wealth of experience, a depth of professional background, and an international network of colleagues. The new counseling office & training center is ready to go.
